Thank you to all of my clients for the privilege of caring for your treasured pets over the last 17 years. Many of you have become friends in addition to being wonderful and loyal clients. In some cases, your pets have been patients from youngsters to seniors. I have enjoyed caring for them every step of the way and watching them become cherished members of your families. I am also proud of our competent and friendly staff that provides so many services, and of the facility which has allowed staff, clients, and pets to share an attractive and comfortable environment.

So it is with mixed emotions that I want to let you know that I am stepping down as owner of Acton Animal Hospital. I will be transferring ownership of the hospital to Dr. Daphne Flessas, who will be taking charge in upcoming weeks.  We hope to provide a smooth transition so that the hospital may continue to provide you and your pets the same excellent medical and surgical care that you count on from us. I am hoping to continue practicing veterinary medicine but also wish to have more time for pursuing other interests and activities.

Dr. Flessas is a Massachusetts native who received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She has practiced in New England for the past 19 years, most recently in Bellingham. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and dermatology. Dr. Flessas has a passion for education, works with students as much as she can, and is committed to life-long learning in the veterinary field. She and her husband live in Grafton, MA, and have three daughters. The family shares their home with a French Bulldog named Monkey and a tiny Chihuahua named Pickles, to the utter dismay of cats Ruby, Max, and Trouble.

Dr. Flessas is very excited to start her work at our hospital.  She shares my philosophy of providing the best medical care for your pets and plans to continue offering a personable and caring hospital environment with a focus on client communication and pet education issues. I hope you will welcome her to the community, as we have.

Dr Daphne Flessas“I am looking forward to joining the great team at Acton
Animal Hospital. Thank you so much to Dr. Geissert
and her team for welcoming me so warmly—
I can’t wait to get started!”
