A lot native of Needham, Massachusetts, Dr. Bergeron says that her mother encouraged her to become a veterinarian after noticing Dr. Bergeron’s love of animals and passion for science, which began at an early age. Now that she is a veterinarian, she says that helping pet owners make the right choices for their pets and helping support their pet’s wellbeing is what she enjoys most about her work.
For her undergraduate studies Dr. Bergeron attended Simmons College where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology with a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Chemistry in 2005. That fall, she enrolled in Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
Dr. Bergeron’s areas of special professional interest include dentistry, pain management, and preventative care. She is a member of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is also a certified USDA veterinarian so she can help with documentation for travelling pets.
Dr. Bergeron’s pets include three cats named Tica, Abel and LuLu all of whom she adopted from local animal shelters. When not working Dr. Bergeron enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. She also enjoys reading, baking and doing archery.
