Dr. Nord proudly hails from Minnesota, Land of 10,000 Lakes and home of the legendary Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox! Dr Nord played varsity softball and basketball at University of Minnesota Duluth, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. After graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and completing an internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, Dr. Nord made MetroWest her home. She loves all aspects of small animal medicine, with special interest in small animal soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Nord is passionate about helping animals in need within her own community and abroad. She is an Honorary Board Member of the MetroWest Humane Society and serves as the Veterinary Consultant for All Dog Rescue. Bi-annually, she travels to the Dominican Republic to work with Project Samana. Dr. Nord’s devotion to helping animals of the world make her a wonderful fit with the Acton & Millis Animal Hospital family!
Dr. Nord has ridden in the Pan Mass Challenge for 13 years, this event holds special significance to her as a two time cancer survivor. Dr Nord lives in Framingham with her family, which includes her partner, 6 dogs, 3 cats and a fish named Carita. She can be found biking & hiking with her partner and their dogs. Dr. Nord is also known for fixing and operating power equipment, ask her about beloved baby Ida – the orange Kubota tractor!
